Description

The home health aide is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs as outlined in the plan of care. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. Pay rate $14

Requirements

  • Meets the training requirements and has obtained a Certified Nurse Aide certificate, or is a current State Tested Nurses Aide and can be verified on the STNA registry, or has worked under the supervision of an RN for at least one year and can provide a signed letter from the RN stating so.
  • Must Be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.

  • help clients stay mentally healthy and alert by having meaningful conversation with them. Some clients enjoy playing games such as crossword puzzles or cards.
